Water In Society

This class focuses on the guiding question "what value does water have in our society?". Through a case study approach reinforced with labs, students will investigate the role of water in society with specific focus on water usage and management. As a class we will analyze the interaction of surface and groundwater, human impacts on these sources, and the overall effect on our environment as a system. The goal of this class is to allow student the opportunity to partake in informed decision making regarding science concepts related to the social, political, and economic factors associated with water usage.
