    Define all definitions in the ch 6 vocabulary in google classroom. You can type directly in the sheet. It is also OK to copy and paste from the online text but make sure you understand the meaning. Remember speaking the language of Statistics is important.

    Remember this is a new experience for all of us, do not panic if this seems difficult we will work though it. Communicate any questions and we will work through it together.

    •  Compute probabilities using the probability distribution of a discrete random variable.

    • Calculate and interpret the mean (expected value) of a discrete random variable.

    •  Calculate and interpret the standard deviation of a discrete random variable.

    •  Compute probabilities using the probability distribution of certain continuous random variables.

Do Exercises from 6.1 pg 359- 363 you can type your answers in a google doc and submit in google classroom. if you prefer to use a pencil and paper either scan and turn in or take a picture with your phone and send in, a good tool to scan from your phone is Cam Scanner, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.intsig.camscanner&hl=en_US
        you can scan a paper and save as a pdf.

       

      You can use crunch-it to make the Histograms.

      1. Your assignment from yesterday should look like this (click link) when they are completed. Make sure you answer all the questions!
      2. Since I did those for you you do not have to turn them in but look at what I want them to look like. Answer all parts of the problem especially the what does this mean type of questions.
      3. After you look over yesterdays homework solutions do Quiz 6.1 - in Google Classroom. -Answer then turn in on Google classroom. You can use google sheets or the TI-83 to do the calculations
