Welcome to the Advanced Art Web Pages
At the beginning of the semester students choose a topic to explore in depth. Using their choice of media the students then create several works of art centered around the topic. While creating their art the students are directed to study art and artists who are working on a similar topic or in a similar way. This gives the students new possibilities for their own work.
The work is then displayed at the end of the semester and the students write an artist's statement explaining what they did and what they learned while creating the art.
