The purpose of this course is to assist Red
Cross paid and volunteer staff to organize and administer the disaster
Health Services function on the unit level and to tell them how the
disaster Health Services function is initiated on a larger disaster relief
operation. |

Ervology |

The purpose of this course is to learn how to operate and
work aboard the Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV). Participants will learn
requirements for & policy regarding the ERV. Participants must be able
to lift 50 pounds. Participants will also gain hands on experience driving
the Emergency Response Vehicle. The card for this class is not issued
until a copy of your driving record, which can be acquired through the
department of Motor Vehicles, is on file at the unit. |
Prerequisite: Valid Driver's License (must bring to
class); Introduction to Disaster Services; Mass Care: An Overview;
Standard First Aid (certification card must be brought to class). |

Family Services: Providing
Emergency Assistance |

Family Services function. You will learn the skills and tools needed
to conduct an effective client interview when a family needs Red Cross's
help. |

Logistics: An Overview |

The purpose of this training is to provide basic
information about the activities and processes of the Logistics function
in support of an American Red Cross disaster relief operation.
Participants will learn about the skills, abilities and knowledge needed
by Logistics workers and how they can get started in their local unit. |
